THE COMPANY

Airpelago makes efficient automated end-to-end inspections of linear infrastructure. We collect high-quality data on power lines using drones. We make finding flaws safer and more efficient, and find five times more faults and defects than a helicopter. We have the first permission for Beyond Line of Sight flights in uncontrolled airspace and are the only ones in Sweden who can perform this type of service. Using drones creates safer working conditions and reduces emissions. We are expanding, and in 2023 we will be targeting an international market.

THE ROLE

You will figure across all teams and review the existing structure of all components in web/backend/android, but focus primarily on the backend. You will identify and address potential scaling bottlenecks and potential security vulnerabilities. You will review and develop automatic processes yourself to ensure high security and quality of new implementations and improve the stack for a high development pace.

If necessary, you will develop new processes and tools for increased efficiency, such as automatic code review and CI/CD flow improvement. You will also be involved in making significant decisions regarding overarching technical strategy and structure.

THE TEAM

The tech team consists of three people plus CTO/team lead Tobias. Hampus works with the web app, Philip with the backend and Daniel with the Android app. All are young with civ. engineering education or equivalent in the backpack, hierarchically flat and the decision-making processes are fast. You will work closest to Tobias.

We work according to Kanban with the attitude of introducing processes if necessary - not for the sake of it. We check in with each other every Monday and Friday; otherwise, the work is ongoing and self-paced. Fast iterations and high tempo with the motto of testing and failing rather than not testing.

THE YOU

Must:

Based in Stockholm.

Drivers license.

5-10 years experience,

Meritorious:

Experience with AWS / Kubernetes / Go

Comfortable across stacks and willing to learn new ones.

Start-up experience.

Civil engineering background or similar.
